Traditional African Drums, Percussion and Song
West African and Congolese rhythms have been played, danced and sung for social celebrations, healing, and spiritual rituals for centuries. African Master Drummers passed these rhythms to Fred, Jim and Andy over the course of 30 years of intensive study and play. This accomplished and world traveled threesome will play djembes, dunu, ngomas, mbira, balafone, bells, shakers, whistles (and the wind itself), to create music and rhythms that uplift, connect and move you. The sound is intriguing, captivating, and exuberant, ranging from subtly nuanced whispers to pulse pounding beats. Be ready for high-energy fun and exceptional African music!
